7-Seater Electric SUV

MG Motor India’s upcoming 7-seater electric SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads in an almost undisguised form, offering a closer look at its exterior design and overall proportions. The upcoming model is expected to strengthen MG’s presence in India’s growing electric SUV segment and could appeal to buyers looking for a spacious EV for family use.

Exterior Design

The test vehicle appears to have a large and imposing SUV stance, with a long body designed to accommodate three rows of seating. The front gets a modern, clean appearance typical of electric vehicles, while the side profile highlights its substantial dimensions and long wheelbase.

The SUV is also expected to feature LED lighting elements, flush-style door handles, alloy wheels and a relatively upright rear section. The three-row layout should provide more practicality than MG’s existing smaller electric SUVs.

Spacious 7-Seater Cabin

The biggest highlight of the upcoming MG EV will be its three-row, seven-seat configuration. This could make it an attractive option for large families who want the convenience of an electric powertrain without compromising on passenger space.

The cabin is likely to receive a modern dashboard layout with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display and connected-car technology. Higher variants could also offer premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered seats and advanced driver-assistance features.

Electric Powertrain

MG has not yet revealed complete powertrain specifications for the production version. However, the SUV is expected to use a large battery pack suitable for long-distance family travel. A strong driving range and fast-charging capability will be important factors as the model takes on established electric SUVs.

Expected Rivals

Once launched, MG’s upcoming 7-seater electric SUV could compete with other premium and large electric SUVs in India. Its combination of three-row practicality, electric performance, technology and MG’s premium positioning could help it attract customers moving from conventional petrol and diesel SUVs to EVs.

What to Expect

The undisguised sighting suggests that MG is moving closer to the production and launch phase. More information about the official name, battery capacity, range, features, variants and pricing is expected to be revealed closer to its launch.

With its spacious seven-seat layout and electric powertrain, MG’s upcoming SUV could become an interesting choice for buyers seeking a large family EV with a premium SUV design.
