Yellowstone Lake

Yellowstone National Park is arguably the most popular of all American national parks, renowned for its amazing geothermal sites, scenic landscapes and rich wildlife. Despite being usually linked to Wyoming, Yellowstone actually stretches to Montana and Idaho.

 Location

This park is situated in northwestern Wyoming, with a small portion extending to Montana and Idaho. It is 3,472 square miles large, which is more than Rhode Island and Delaware put together.

•            Old Faithful – One of the world’s most famous geysers, distinguished by regular eruption patterns.

•            Grand Prismatic Spring – Enormous hot spring known for its blue center and colorful rings of orange, yellow and green.

 Wildlife

Yellowstone Park is a great place for seeing wildlife. One can see American bison, elk, bears, wolves, moose and pronghorn there. Bison are very common and one of the most distinctive animals of the park.

Hiking, wildlife observation, photographing, sightseeing, camping and exploration of the geothermal activity can be done at Yellowstone Park. However, there are many trails in Yellowstone varying from easy day hikes to back country hiking trails.
